In my last post I alluded to the lamentable fact that far fewer folks these days have the confidence to make and take the simple home remedies that just a few generations ago, were trusted stalwarts of the home family medicine chest.

Although the modern pharmaceutical industry has provided a number of helpful over-the counter remedies that can be relied on in an emergency, the obvious downside (as many people found out to their dismay during lock down) is that you’re at the mercy of the wind should shortage of supply become an issue.

As the goal of this newsletter is to help revive the skill and confidence of the home medicine maker, I’d like to share two failproof recipes that are tried and trusted favourites on my home medicine maker course.

All of the ingredients can be purchased very cheaply from your local store, but special brownie points are awarded for using home grown or foraged plants.
